Marathwada Mitra Mandal, Pune is a Public Charitable Trust registered under Bombay Public Trust Act, 1990 under Registration No. F-338 P dated 19.1.1967. Shri. Shankarraoji Chavan, Ex-Home Minister of India, is one of the Founder members and also the President of the Trust. Hon. Shri Vilasraoji Deshmukh , Cabinet Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Govt. of India, is currently  the  Executive President of the Trust.
In July 1985, the Trust started the College of Architecture with the introduction of the first year of degree (B. Arch.) Course in Architecture. In the same year, the Trust started a School of Interior Design offering a Full-time Diploma in Interior Design.

Both these courses have a very good response because of our outstanding academic achievements and excellence in sports and other activities.
In 1986, the Managing Committee realizing the need and significance of 'Commerce' education opened a Commerce College which has been steadily and surely growing and developing with outstanding academic results and all other achievements. Understanding the need for management education, the Institute of Management, Education, Research and training was established. The Law College as well with a recent establishment offers three years and five years degree course in law.
Under the wings of Commerce College, we pioneered in introducing Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Management(International Business), Bachelor of Computer Application, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science courses in Pune City.
