Dr. M. D. Lawrence Principal of Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College of Commerce (MMCC, Pune) was felicitated with the State Teachers Award instituted by the Maharashtra State Government, Ministry of Higher and Tech. Education.
This award has been conferred on him in recognition for his commitment dedication and contribution in the field of education, youth welfare and community development. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, along with Shri Rajesh Tope, Minister Higher and Technical Education felicitated him with a Scroll of Honour and cash prize Rs. 10000/-. Prominent Ministers and Government Officials such as Shri. Balasaheb Thorat, Shri. D. P. Sawant, Shri Rajendra Darda, Smt. Foujya Khan and the Vice Chancellor of Dr. Babahabeb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Dr. V. M. Pandharipande were also present on the occasion.

Dr. Lawrence is also a very popular author in marketing, general management and commerce subjects and is also recognized Ph.D.  Guide of the University of Pune, Commerce and management faculty.  More than 8 students have completed their Ph.D and M.Phil under his guidance and supervision.  He has published many research papers and articles in leading journals and major publications. He has participated in many national and international management seminars and conferences and extensively travelled abroad.
